Merge an SCP S through D for all 15 merge tiers
Badge counts as difficulty, observed SCP identities as flavor — not a sealed Foundation table.
This page ranks the fifteen merge rungs in Merge an SCP from S to D. The axis is prestige plus combat presence, not “what you should merge first.” You still start at SCP-999. You still spend most of a session in D and C. The S band is the trophy wall, and the badge numbers prove it.
For the loop itself, use how to merge and the merge planner. For guns, leave this page and open weapon ranking. This list does not rank SMGs.
Identities below are commonly observed, not a sealed official table. Players consistently see SCP-999 at Tier1, SCP-049 around Tier7, SCP-096 around Tier8, SCP-035 in the mid band, and SCP-939 in the high band. Promo and costume bodies such as SCP-173, SCP-682, SCP-1048, and SCP-131 are not these fifteen badges. They live on the SCP roster.
S-D ranking
| Rank | Tiers | About how many own the badge | Observed identity | Why it sits here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| S | T13, T14, T15 | 617 / 253 / 154 | Endgame bodies; high-band 939 energy | Trophy wall. You do not plan a first session around these. |
| A | T10, T11, T12, T8 | 16k / 5.2k / 1.7k / 58k | High 939; T8 is 096 | Rarity cliff plus the most famous breach silhouette. |
| B | T7, T9 | 91k / 32k | T7 is 049 | Real identity payoff without the T10 wipeout. |
| C | T4, T5, T6 | 792k / 356k / 152k | Mid 035 | First serious merge wall after the T3 crowd. |
| D | T1, T2, T3 | 3.17M / 1.92M / 1.60M | T1 is 999 | Mandatory start. Weak as combat bodies, perfect as cash converters. |
S does not mean “buy this now.” S means “almost nobody is here, and the morph is the reason people screenshot.” D does not mean “skip.” D means “you will live here for an hour whether you like it or not.”
Badge rarity as a difficulty signal
Merge Empire published one badge per rung. Approximate ever-awarded counts, rounded:
- Tier1 about 3.17 million
- Tier2 about 1.92 million
- Tier3 about 1.60 million
- Tier4 about 792,000
- Tier5 about 356,000
- Tier6 about 152,000
- Tier7 about 91,000
- Tier8 about 58,000
- Tier9 about 32,000
- Tier10 about 16,000
- Tier11 about 5,200
- Tier12 about 1,700
- Tier13 about 617
- Tier14 about 253
- Tier15 about 154
The first cliff is T3 to T4: the crowd halves. The second cliff is T10 to T11: the crowd drops from about 16,000 to about 5,200. The third cliff is everything past T12, where owners are measured in hundreds. If your session goal is “own a named SCP people recognize,” aim at T7 and T8, not T15.
Badges were created on 21 October 2024, a little over a month after the 13 September 2024 launch. They are a progress track, not a lore codex. If a shutdown adds a sixteenth rung, this table is wrong until we recount. Check patch notes after any shutdown.
Progression speed versus prestige
Early rungs often need three matching copies. Later rungs often need two. That is why D-tier is fast even though the morph is a blob, and why C-tier feels like a wall even though 792,000 people eventually cleared T4.
A practical chase order that respects speed:
- Buy SCP-999 and clear T1–T3 while orbs are cheap. Getting started covers the first ten minutes.
- Hold enough cash for the starter SMG (about 5,000 observed) before you brute-force T4. Farm cash if the shop is empty.
- Treat T7 (049) and T8 (096) as the identity goals. They sit in B and A because they are famous, not because they are the rarest.
- Only spend on T10+ when the merge planner says the copy math still leaves gun money.
Buying a large shop stack can auto-merge. That is a speed tool, not a rank change. It does not move T15 out of S and it does not make T1 a boss-round threat.
Boss-round usefulness
Boss rounds care about the body you are wearing and the gun in your hands, not the badge tooltip. Observed play says:
- T1–T3 999-style blobs are poor breach tanks. Buy the SMG. Stand with your copies so you are not kiting through someone else’s pad on an eight-player floor.
- Mid 035 is a presence upgrade. It is not a reason to skip facility upgrades.
- T7 049 and T8 096 are the first morphs that feel like the trailer. 096 is why the Tier List Hub uses that scream as a hero image. Feeling scary is not the same as having published HP.
- High 939 and the T13–T15 wall are rare enough that most servers will never show you a fair sample. Do not take a clip of one lucky morph as a balance patch.
Promo 682 or 173 on a costume rack can out-flex a mid merge during a screenshot and still do nothing for your next copy requirement. Keep costumes on the morphs guide.
How to use this list without lying to yourself
Pick one axis per session:
- Speed session: stay in D and C, dump orbs into copies, ignore S.
- Identity session: push to T7/T8, then stop and buy later shop firearms.
- Trophy session: accept that T13–T15 are hundreds-of-owners rungs and that most cash will vanish into two-copy merges.
Never mix all three in one night unless you like empty shops. The weapon ranking exists because players who chase S morphs with no SMG donate the round to the breach.
If a YouTube thumbnail promises a full 15-row official SCP chart, it is guessing. This wiki would rather show the badge math and the five identities we actually see. When Merge Empire publishes a roster, we will replace the observed column. Until then, treat every number on this page as a ranking aid, not Foundation canon.
When you know which rank you are hunting, open the merge planner and count copies before you touch the shop. The planner will not make T15 common. It will stop you from spending the SMG budget on a third T6 you do not need.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Merge an SCP questions.
Is Tier15 the only S-tier SCP?
T13 through T15 share S because about 617, 253, and 154 players own those badges. T8 SCP-096 sits in A as the iconic breach morph, not as the rarest badge.
Why is SCP-999 D-tier if everyone needs it?
D is combat and prestige, not "skip this." You still buy 999 first. About 3.17 million players own Tier1. Read how to merge for the copy rules.
Are 049 and 096 locked to T7 and T8?
They are commonly observed there, not stamped on an official table. See the SCP roster for merge versus promo appearances.
Should I skip C-tier to rush S?
No. T4–T6 are the first real cash wall. Use the merge planner and keep gun money for weapon ranking.
Do promo morphs like 682 have a rank here?
No. 173, 682, 1048, and 131 are costumes or promos, not the fifteen badges. Rank them on the morphs guide, not this ladder.
Where should I go after this ranking?
Plan copies with the merge planner, then buy defense from weapon ranking before a boss round.
