Merge an SCP Shutdowns, badges, and the patch habit

Merge Empire does not run a public Trello for Merge an SCP. The patch channel is the experience going dark. The SCP Merge description still says Shut Down = Update. This Updates Hub explains that habit, points at the dated timeline on patch notes, and tells you what to re-check when you get back in.

We will not invent a bullet list of “+10% orb spawn” or “nerfed 096.” Those numbers were never published. What we have are three dates, a badge track, and a shop you can re-read with your own eyes.

How shutdowns work

On Roblox, a developer can close an experience, push a place version, and reopen. Merge Empire writes that loop into the description so players stop treating a five-minute kick as a dead game. Typical pattern:

1. Servers empty. Friends list shows the place as unavailable.
2. The updated stamp on the experience page moves.
3. You rejoin an eight-player lab that may have new shop prices, copy rules, morphs, or nothing you can see.
4. You play. You do not need a patch essay.

Sometimes the shutdown is a hotfix that lasts minutes. Sometimes it is a content drop that lasts longer. From the outside they look identical: the place is down. That is why this wiki refuses to fictionalize notes. If we cannot see a dated Roblox stamp or a badge creation time, it does not go on patch notes.

The last listed update at the time of writing is 10 June 2026. The place launched 13 September 2024. Between those stamps, the only other hard date we trust is 21 October 2024, when badges Tier1–Tier15 were created.

What a shutdown is not

• It is not proof the game was deleted. Favorites sit above 284,000; the group still has about 865,000 members.
• It is not a code drop. No public codes were confirmed as of September 2026. Check codes anyway, then close the tab if it is still empty.
• It is not a Discord event. There is no verified invite. See the Links Hub.
• It is not a reason to buy Robux skips blind. Re-read merge copy counts first via how to merge.

What to do after you rejoin

A short version lives here so the hub is useful even if you skip the child page:

1. Confirm you are on place 70386498457443 — the official SCP Merge listing, not a clone.
2. Buy or check SCP-999 stock. If the start unit changed, stop and read getting started again.
3. Count how many matching copies a merge wants. Early rungs have often needed three; later rungs have often needed two. If that flipped, the merge planner needs new inputs.
4. Glance at the starter SMG tag. It has been observed around 5,000 cash. If the number moved, weapon ranking is stale on price, not on role.
5. Open badges. If Tier1–Tier15 are still the track, SCP Tiers still maps rarity. If a Tier16 appears, the S-band is wrong until we recount.
6. Only then spend on morphs or later firearms.

Farm orbs the same way you did yesterday unless step 3 or 4 changed. Farm cash is still the orb page.

No public Trello. No invented patch channel. If a YouTuber titles a video “NEW UPDATE” on a day the Roblox stamp did not move, believe the stamp.

When the lights come back, do not rewrite your whole loadout from memory. Run the six checks, then go back to merging 999. The shutdown was the patch notes. Your shop is the patch body. The patch notes page is only the calendar we can defend.
